Harmonious World

Alastair Penman and I discuss ‘The Last Tree’ over a cup of tea

Hilary Seabrook Season 22 Episode 310

Welcome to the latest episode of Harmonious World, where I interview musicians about how their music helps make the world more harmonious.

I was joined in the Hermitage Road Coffee & Bagel Shop by sax player Alastair Penman, who chatted with me about his latest album, The Last Tree. We also discussed his new project - Sound Earth Collective.

Alongside our discussions about music, we also discussed the environmental issues that inform both of us. You can find out more on TreeApp, as well as Music Declares Emergency.

Thanks to Alastair for allowing me to use clips from The Last Tree alongside our conversation.

Don't forget the Quincy Jones quote that sums up why I do this: "Imagine what a harmonious world it would be if every single person, both young and old, shared a little of what he is good at doing."
