Harmonious World

Misha Mullov-Abbado and I chat about 'Effra' and more

Hilary Seabrook Season 21 Episode 288

Welcome to the latest episode of Harmonious World, in which I interview musicians about how their music helps make the world more harmonious.

Having met up with bass player, composer and band leader Misha Mullov-Abbado backstage at Alice Zawadzki's Watford Jazz Junction gig a couple of months ago, it was great to chat with him in the lobby of the Barbican Centre. Misha's latest album is Effra and we discussed the tracks, his band and some of the fascinating projects he has coming up.

Thanks to Misha for allowing me to use extracts from Effra alongside our conversation.

Don't forget the Quincy Jones quote that sums up why I do this: "Imagine what a harmonious world it would be if every single person, both young and old, shared a little of what he is good at doing."
